Carmen y María is the musical and artistic project that brings together Carmen Cortés and María La Blanco, who contribute their vocal registers, distinctive personalities and own styles, intertwining them harmoniously and achieving a proposal that will make people talk. In this way, they seek to “reclaim the culture of the sisters, a culture that has been systematically made invisible. For Carmen and María, miscegenation and community are essential elements that permeate their way of interpreting and understanding music, always filtered by influences.” of Flamenco, Jazz, R&B and Latin”.
This preview recorded live under the title “Groove y Soniquete” serves as a preview and appetizer of what we are going to find in the work that they will publish this year 2024 through Costa Futuro. To this advance you can add presentation concert –and official starting point of the project– of February 2 in Barcelona Apollo Room inside of the Imprints festival.
