Flamengo and Botafogo face each other this Sunday morning (28/4), at 11am, at Maracanã, in the fourth round of the Brasileirão-2024. Rubro-Negro entered the round sharing the lead with Bragantino, with seven points (but behind in the number of goals). But Botafogo is on the trail, as they have six points. Thus, the winner of this match can end the round as the isolated leader of the competition. Not surprisingly, the forecast is for a full house.
The two teams experienced different moments in the middle of the week in the Libertadores, as Rubro-Negro lost to Bolívar in La Paz and said goodbye to their unbeaten record in 2024; Fogão beat Universítário at Niltão and celebrated their first triumph in the group stage. Furthermore, it ended the Peruvians’ unbeaten run this season.

How is Flamengo?
After resting seven starters in the defeat to Bolívar, in La Paz, in the Libertadores, Tite returns with the cavalry for this Sunday morning’s classic. Cebolinha, injured, remains absent. This way, Bruno Henrique will be kept in the starting lineup. The only doubt, defender Léo Pereira, has recovered from a virus. So he goes to the game.
In fact, Leo Pereira, in an interview with Fla TV, said that everyone at Flamengo is focused on achieving a good result.
