Tricolor gaúcho by Renato Gaúcho seeks this Sunday, the 28th, his second consecutive victory in the State

28 Jan 2024 – 1:10 p.m

(updated at 1:46 pm)

Grêmio visits Brasil de Pelotas, this Sunday, the 28th, at 4pm (Brasília time), for the third round of the Campeonato Gaúcho, at the Bento Freitas Stadium, in Pelotas (RS). Renato Gaúcho’s team wants its second consecutive victory. The home team hasn’t scored a goal yet and is trying to recover in the competition.

Tricolor comes from rehabilitation. After having debuted with a 2-1 defeat to Caxias, the team thrashed São José, at home, 4-1, with the highlight being Venezuelan Soteldo. While the board is still looking for reinforcements at the starting level, coach Renato Gaúcho will carry out new tests and spare some players, such as veterans Geromel and Kannemann.

Brasil de Pelotas has two points in the championship after two 0-0 games. The team has the lowest investment in the competition and the youngest team in average age (23.6 years). The confrontation with Grêmio could frustrate the expectation of winning the first in Gauchão. Depending on the combination of results, if they lose, the team could be in the relegation zone.
