Marko Purišić, 29-year-old from Istra, musician under stage name Baby Lasagnais Croatia’s representative at Eurovision in Malmö.
Baby Lasagna with his musical team has been at the top of the bookmakers for months and is considered this year’s favorite. Although Switzerland “dethroned” him for a short time, Croats managed to return to first place and currently have the best chance of winning. The Croatian musician attracted enormous attention from the regional and European public.
Purišić showed interest in music from an early age. Both of his parents were elementary school teachers, and as he says, he probably would have followed in their footsteps if he hadn’t taken the path of music. He worked as a children’s assistant in an elementary school, and then enrolled in studies in the field of public relations. He also studied sound engineering in Ljubljana, all the while cultivating a love for music.
Baby Lasagna admits that he started playing music when he asked his father for a guitar for his ninth birthday and got it.

Placement at Eurovision brought him great fame, and soon he was noticed by women all over the world. However, his heart belongs to Elizabeth, who is his biggest supporter.
“How much my better half appreciates my musical side is unknown to me. However, before anyone else hears my songs, she listens to them. Honestly, I often choose songs for the album based on her judgment. If she didn’t like the song ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’, maybe I wouldn’t talk to you today”he said bluntly.
As he says, there is no big story behind the name Baby Lasagna.
“I wanted it to be something funny, simple and bizarre. Maybe I subconsciously noticed that a lot of modern rappers are called Baby this, Baby that. That’s probably why I wanted to be Baby something, and Lasagna sounded random enough”he said to Story.
