Fans of the group speculated on social media after finding similarities with the Brazilian artist

Slipknot performed again last Thursday (25) in a last-minute show in California, in the United States, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their first album. Videos and images of the intimate performance soon emerged, and fans began speculating about the new drummer again.
Eloy Casagrande is possibly Slipknot’s new drummer

Although there is no official confirmation, people who follow the metal group believe that the musician is Brazilian Eloy Casagrande. The topic was even high on Google searches and among the most talked about on X this Friday (26).
The drummer announced his departure from Sepultura in February this year, speaking of “new cycles to come” and saying goodbye with “see you soon on the road”. Even before yesterday’s presentation, there were already suspicions that it would be him.
At the beginning of March, the band’s official profile posted a photo of a broken drumstick, and fans recognized Eloy Casagrande’s favorite model. But what really convinced was the new drummer’s tattoo, similar to the design Eloy has on his arm. Those who know his style also had no doubts, the posture of Slipknot’s new drummer gave the game away.

Speculations almost confirmed
To complement the theories in fans’ minds, two metal names spoke about the subject, mentioning the names of Eloy and Slipknot. One of them was Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares, who wrote on social media: “Now that Eloy Casagrande is playing drums in Slipknot, I want to go see the band.”
Furthermore, Mi Vieira, lead singer of Gloria, the drummer’s former band, posted a photo of them with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor at Rock in Rio 2011, congratulating him. Check out:
It is difficult to know whether there will be any official confirmation from Slipknot, who often play with the identities of their members. Furthermore, the masks used in all presentations also leave even more doubts.
However, for fans it is very clear that the new drummer of one of the most influential American metal bands today is indeed Brazilian.
Eloy Casagrande has been known in Brazil since he was a child. In 2003, he appeared on Domingão do Faustão, playing a mini drum in the segment “Se Vira Nos 30”. His performance was so successful that he returned to the program several times.
The drummer was also part of the band Glória. He served as the band’s musician in 2011, at age 20. However, Eloy only spent a few months in the group, and was part of the show at Rock in Rio. The band was booed during the performance, and those who were there remember that one of the only moments in which the audience became less hostile was during the solo of the drummer.
