LONDON – Democracies have a bad opinion of Russia of Putin. Authoritarian countries have a positive opinion of Putin’s Russia. It might have been expected, but this gap in world public opinion is now confirmed by a large poll cited this morning by the Guardian from London. Especially useful to those who, in the western democratic countries, take sides with Moscow in the face of the war in Ukraine: now they can know with certainty who is keeping them company globally.
