Why Tom Cruise sees his daughter Suri as a “potential problem.”

Suri Cruisethe daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, celebrated her eighteenth birthday on April 18th. And that without her father – who has reportedly not had any contact with his daughter for years.

While Suri Cruise celebrated with Holmes in New York, Cruise was busy filming in London.

Tom Cruise doesn’t want negative headlines

The last time Cruise was pictured in Suri’s company was almost twelve years ago, in July 2012, when the celebrity daughter was six years old. At the time, Cruise had just resolved his divorce from Holmes and was attending a custody visit at Disney World Florida with Suri, who was dressed as the Little Mermaid. Insiders, including the film star’s former friends, claim he hasn’t seen his daughter in person since.

Suri’s estranged relationship with her father first became public in September 2013, when Cruise took legal action against two magazines that claimed he had “abandoned” his daughter. The lawsuit was settled out of court and it was clear that the action star was upset by the accusations and negative headlines that resulted from it.

Ex-Scientologist: Suri “potential source of problems” for Tom Cruise

When Katie Holmes was still married to Cruise, she received Scientology lessons and Suri was supposed to be raised as a Scientologist. However, after their breakup, the actress returned to her Roman Catholic faith. It was reported that Holmes was keen to keep her daughter away from the Hollywood cult at all costs.

The former leading Scientologist Karen De La Carriere – once married to the president of the religion – confronts the British high society expert Alison Bischoff Clearly, Scientology is definitely the reason for the rift.

Scientology is said to discourage believers from maintaining relationships with people outside the religion. The cult is regularly blamed for alienating its followers from non-believers, some of whom it describes as “oppressive people”.

“No room for emotions”

“Katie was seen as a suppressive person and Suri more broadly as a potential source of problems,” Bishoff’s Karen De La Carriere writes in an article for the Daily Mail quoted. “Tom cannot relate to or connect with his own daughter. In Scientology, Scientology comes first, family priorities are at the bottom of the order.”

Brendan Tighe, However, who once worked in Cruise’s security service and was also a Scientologist, revealed to Bischoff: “When it comes to Scientology thinking, there is basically a separation policy. If applied consistently, there is no room for emotions.”

“As long as Suri is on her mother’s side, there will be no contact with her father,” said superstar Cruise’s ex-employee.

The former Scientologist and author of the book “A Billion Years” Mike Rinder can confirm this. He is said to have known Cruise and his family first hand for years. His own eldest children, who are still believers, would not speak to him because he had left the religious community. Therefore, he is sure that Scientology is also responsible for the rift between Cruise and Suri.

“Because Katie took the lead in the divorce and gave the world‘s most famous Scientologist a ‘surprise,’ she committed an ‘act of oppression,'” Rinder spills. “Therefore, Tom could not be associated with her.”

“Scientologists believe that everyone is a spiritual being who lives many lifetimes,” he says. “The being who is your mother in this life may have been your daughter in a previous life – and that diminishes the importance of family ties.”

It has been claimed for years that a similar dynamic occurred after Cruise’s divorce from Nicole Kidman was observed. Kidman left Scientology and has had very little of her children since then Bella (31) and Conor (now 29), whom she adopted with Cruise.
