Atalanta managed to beat Marseille 3-0 in the semi-final second leg Europa League. This made La Dea advance to the final with an aggregate of 4-1.
Atalanta vs Marseille took place at Gewiss Stadium, Friday (10/5/2024) early morning WIB. The two teams previously drew 1-1 in the first leg.
Atalanta threatened Marseilla’s goal in the fifth minute. There was a shot from Charles De Ketelaere which hit the post.

Atalanta continues to dominate the game. Several attacks were attempted by Davide Zappacosta and De Ketelaere which were thwarted by goalkeeper Pau Lopez.
Atalanta finally took a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute. Ademola Lookman received De Ketelaere’s pass, who then fired a shot from the edge of the penalty box.
Marseille almost went without resistance throughout the first half. This made Gian Piero Gasperini’s troops lead until halftime.
Atalanta started the second half well. La Dea also succeeded in increasing their lead to 2-0 through Matteo Ruggeri’s goal which completed Lookman’s assist.
The tempo of the game tends to decrease after the goal. Atalanta was more passive when the ball was controlled by Marseille and was careful when in possession of the ball.
Atalanta added a goal in injury time. El Bilal Tooure’s shot made Atalanta win 3-0.
This result led Atalanta to the Europa League final with an aggregate of 4-1. The Italian team challenged Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
