With a goal from Sasha, Bragantino beats Santo André and leads the Corinthians group in Paulista

This Sunday, at the Bruno José Daniel Stadium, Red Bull Bragantino beat Santo André 2-1, in a match valid for the fifth round of the first phase of the Campeonato Paulista.

Still without winning in the tournament, Santo André remains in last place in Group A, with two points. Red Bull Bragantino, with seven points, moves up to first place in Group B, the same as last placed Corinthians – Inter de Limeira, with four points, will only enter the field this Thursday, against Guarani.

In the next round of Paulistão, Santo André will face Mirassol, this Thursday. The match is scheduled to start at 7pm (Brasília time), at the José Maria de Campos Maia Municipal Stadium. Red Bull Bragantino, in turn, will return to the field this Wednesday against Novorizontino, at Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi. The ball rolls at 9pm.

The first goal of this Sunday’s match came in the second half, at 24 minutes. After receiving a pass from Raul, Gustavinho tried a shot from outside the area. The ball was strong, in the left corner, with no chance for goalkeeper Daniel, opening the scoring for Red Bull Bragantino.

The equalizer came in the 36th minute, with a goal from Bruno Michel. After Geovane’s header, the ball fell into the area for the attacker, who finished first. She even dodged Hurtado, preventing Cleiton from reacting.

But, in the 38th minute of the complementary stage, the Bragança Paulista team regained the lead. After a rebound given by the goalkeeper, Eduardo Sasha finished alone in the small area and broke the tie.
