Around 1.6 million people attended pop queen Madonna’s final concert live in Rio de Janeiro – as a thank you to her Brazilian fans, the 65-year-old performed for free and delivered a show highlight in super format.

After over eighty concerts worldwide, this was a fitting conclusion to the “Celebration Tour”. There were also numerous gay fans there who had traveled to Copacabana especially for the Queen of Pop’s mega event and reported enthusiastically about it on social media. A total of 170 extra flights from 27 cities around the world brought more than 150,000 international fans to Sugarloaf Mountain. Of course, Madonna herself did not travel alone, but flew to the only concert in Brazil with her two hundred employees in three planes and 270 tons of equipment.

For many fans, the party began during rehearsals for the weekend concert – thousands cheered and celebrated on site. And many fans had also gathered in front of the Queen of Pop’s hotel, the noble “Copacabana Palace” with daily prices around 5,000 US dollars, to be as close to their idol as possible.
They sang one serenade after another to the diva in the middle of the street – a state of emergency in Rio de Janeiro.
