Every year, the American magazine Forbes comes up with a list of names of people under the age of 30 that the magazine thinks should be followed.
I 30 under 30 i Europa in the category production and industry, the name of Synne Sauar (27) from Sauherad in Telemark is now listed.

She started the company Litech together with Ida Marie Pedersen in 2021.
The company has developed a method to detect and remove missorted batteries, so that recycling facilities can avoid fires.
The sensor will be tested now and will be produced for sale next year.
Several Norwegians on the list
Other Norwegians are also on the Forbes list in other categories.
Among other things, SEB Haugeto is on the list of finance in Europe, According to the online newspaper Shifter. Ronald Griffin is named on the list for media and marketing. Elisabeth Kress, who helped establish the K2 restaurant in Stavanger, is included in the art and culture category.
Sauar believes that her name on the list can provide opportunities and that her company will be noticed.
– It is a recognized magazine. You should not ignore the fact that it opens some doors. We want to go out into the world. That is our ambition.
Awake to surprise
Sauar says that she has been nominated by friends and family for the magazine. Then followed many questions on a form that she had to answer.
– They did a thorough background check before making a final decision. It was an incredibly nice surprise when I woke up to the news.
Since then, she has received many congratulations and a lot of attention.
In 2022, she and her partner Ida Marie Pedersen were chosen by Dagens Næringsliv as rental stars under the age of 30.
More attention brings growth
Innovation Norway thinks it’s great that Synne Sauar is on the Forbes list. This means that Sauar and the company become more well known.
More attention is important for further growth, according to managing director Håkon Haugli in Innovation Norway.
– Synne is a fantastic example of something we need more of in Norway: young, ambitious entrepreneurs who solve social problems. Circular economy is decisive for Norway to succeed in green growth, says Haugli.

Innovation Norway has recently supported Litech with NOK 4 million through the environmental technology scheme.
