After the 1-0 defeat to Botafogo, Vitória Zeca’s captain gave an interview to the SporTV channel and spoke about the first leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil.
Zeca explained Leão’s game proposal for the match and regretted the negative result. “We had a proposal to keep the ball. We know that the Copa do Brasil is two games. Our proposal was to keep the ball and make their team come from behind to have the opportunity to score. We had the opportunity, it happens. One day you’ll kick it and do it, the next you won’t do it. Unfortunately we conceded a goal. Let’s rest now that I know there’s a big game,” he said.
To qualify, Vitória will need to win by two goals in the return game, which will be on Tuesday (21), at 7pm, at Barradão. Before that, however, Colossal will play three matches for the Brasileirão, the first of which will be on Sunday (5), at 4pm, at Barradão, against São Paulo.
