Rome, April 9 (beraking latest news Salute) – The attitudes of Italians towards the Internet are changing. For 65.5%, the search for information is aimed at finding doctors or health facilities. This is what emerges from the Tech4Life survey, promoted by Confindustria Medical Devices and carried out by Community Research & Analysis. Only 33.5% of Italians consult the Internet to make a diagnosis on their health.
The online search for information on treatments and therapies is also increasing (23.9%, + 10.2% compared to 2019) and on technologies and devices for health (18.8%, + 8.6% compared to 2019) . The family doctor is the reference for 76.6% of Italians who want information on their state of health, while 11.8% go to a specialist doctor.
The primacy of authority therefore remains with white coats. For 44.5% of Italians in the top two of reliability there is the general practitioner, for 38% the specialist. The reliability recognized to the pharmacist is also high compared to previous years: 7.1% put this professional figure in the first positions. The percentage of Italians who consider television and radio reliable (1.9%), specialized newspapers or magazines (2.9%) and websites (2.5%) also increased. The percentage of those who rely on social networks remains below 1% (0.4%).
