The rossoneri smash the rossoblùs with a textbook first half: the only joy was Deiola’s momentary 1-1 goal
MILAN. Too much Milan for the current Cagliari. Thus the first away match of the championship turns into an authentic rossoblù debacle, with an absolutely disastrous first half. You can complain as much as you like about the fact that, after the initial advantage signed by Tonali and the almost immediate equalizer by Alessandro Deiola with the header, the Rossoneri took the lead again due to a fortuitous deviation by Diaz on Leao’s tiraccio. But then there was almost no match.
Milan tripled on yet another hole in the midfield on which Tonali served a golden assist for Giroud who bagged without problems. And before the end there was also the fourth goal, on a foul seen at Strootman’s Var: the Dutchman turned his back to avoid being hit by the ball kicked by Brahim Diaz, however, lifting an elbow and being punctually punished with the yellow and the penalty from the very fiscal referee (with Cagliari) Serra. Penalty then transformed by Giroud, for a brace that consecrates him already idol of San Siro.
In the second half Milan loosened their grip a little, even if they are the most dangerous still in front of Radunovic, on the pitch instead of the injured Cragno. Fifteen minutes from the end, the inclusion of Lykogiannis first and then Farias for Dalbert and Strootman passing to 4-4-2 but with an offensive line-up given the presence of Joao Pedro and Pavoletti.
