The front rows towards the center of the square are “invaded” by the No vax people, who for the umpteenth Saturday in a row fill the city’s parlor with their invectives against vaccines, politics, health care. Yesterday afternoon, however, the traders rebelled: at 17.30, a few minutes before the start of the event, Pino, the manager of Ladies and Gentlemen Luca Marton, and some waiters occupied the stage of the No vax, asking the participants to leave and leave space for their customers. Moments of tension followed, until the exhibitors left the stage and the men from the police station tried to persuade the demonstrators to leave more space for the customers of the clubs. But in the end the No vax returned masters of the square, invading the stalls and indeed, raising the bar of protest: on the Telegram chats the blocking of railway traffic is being organized on September 1st, against the request for a Green pass on trains.

“We are losing money, every Saturday evening in summer we had the square occupied by the No vax, but do you know what that means? After ten months of restrictions we had the opportunity to work during the summer months, but who sits here, with music and chaos in their ears, and all these people crowded in the square without distancing? ». Giuseppe “Pino” Giordano at one point called his waiters who had occupied the stage: «The demonstrators were too many, I didn’t want to generate tension. These protests are not acceptable. Before 9pm they don’t leave. We have pointed this out to everyone, but nothing has changed ».

Among the most perplexed is Luca Marton, manager of Ladies and Gentlemen: «We wrote a letter to all the institutions a week ago, but we are all over again. The problem was also brought to the attention of the mayor. My stalls are full on Saturday evening at 6pm, and gradually empties due to the event. People arrive in the square and find a wall of people, law enforcement, music and chaos. Nobody thinks of sitting down for a drink in such a context. From 8pm onwards I no longer work, I am forced to send the waiters home. I respect their freedom to protest, but let me work. “
