While working on a billboard in the Ipanema sector, east of Neiva, José Gregorio Ascanio died after suffering an electric shock.
In an unfortunate event that still requires clarification, a citizen lost his life this Wednesday afternoon, while carrying out work in a billboard located on Carrera 46 and Calle 6, in the Ipanema sector, east of the capital of Huila.
According to the first information, the victim, identified as José Gregorio Ascanio49, was working on the billboard when he accidentally made contact with the power cords, suffering an electric shock that caused his immediate death. Another man was injured in the incident and was taken to a hospital for medical attention.

José Gregorio Ascanio, known for working in outdoor advertising installation, enjoyed the appreciation and respect of many people.
Police uniforms went to the scene of the accident to cordon off the area, waiting for the body to be removed and the respective process to begin in these cases. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
