Microsoft to Release Budget-Friendly Xbox Series X Edition
Microsoft is set to release a new budget-friendly version of its Xbox Series X console, according to a recent report from Exputer. The new version, rumored to be announced in the coming months, is expected to be priced lower than the current disc-based version by over $100.
The report also suggests that the new Xbox Series X will feature a white body similar to the Xbox Series S, with 1TB of storage and improved internal cooling using Nexus chips. In terms of performance, it is said to offer a significant upgrade over the current model.
When it comes to pricing, Exputer predicts that the new Xbox Series X edition will be priced between $1,579 to $3,158, making it more affordable than the current disc-based model priced at $17,580. This price adjustment may help attract more gamers to consider upgrading to the new version.
Many gamers primarily subscribe to Game Pass services, making the lower-priced Xbox Series X a more appealing option for some. The specific requirements and pricing for the new model are yet to be officially confirmed by Microsoft.
In addition to Microsoft’s Xbox, Sony is also expected to release a new enhanced version of the PS5 console later this year, featuring a more powerful GPU and improved graphics processing capabilities. The competition between the two tech giants is expected to heat up in the gaming console market.
