Samsung set to release high-end notebook called Galaxy Book4 Edge
Samsung is well-known for its innovative Galaxy products, especially in the smartphone category. However, recent reports have revealed that the tech giant is planning to use the “Edge” moniker for its upcoming notebook, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge.
While the details about the new laptop are still sparse, it is rumored to be a high-end device running on Windows on Arm. One of the key features of the Galaxy Book4 Edge is said to be the use of the Snapdragon X Elite processor. There were speculations about using the Snapdragon X Plus processor, but it remains uncertain which one Samsung will ultimately go with.
The Snapdragon X Elite processor promises top-notch performance with its 12 cores, surpassing the X Plus model in terms of CPU and GPU power. Additionally, both processors offer AI acceleration and a 5G Modem, making them the most robust Qualcomm Windows on Arm processors to date.
Samsung’s decision to venture into the notebook market with the Galaxy Book4 Edge comes amidst the announcement of a press conference by Microsoft and ASUS on May 20. Both companies are planning to unveil laptops utilizing the Snapdragon X series processors, and it’s rumored that Samsung and Lenovo might also introduce their devices simultaneously.
