GOG Partners with Amazonās Luna to Enter Cloud Gaming Market
GOG, a popular gaming platform owned by CD Projekt, has announced a new partnership with Amazonās Luna to venture into the cloud gaming market. Lunaās cloud service enables players to stream games from Amazonās cloud servers on various devices, including PCs, Macs, Android and iOS mobile devices, smart TVs, and Fire tablets. Players simply need to install the Luna app on their device and ensure it is connected to the internet to access specific games purchased on the GOG platform. Additionally, players can utilize any Luna-compatible controller, such as Xbox One controllers and PS4 controllers, to enjoy the games.
According to GOG, players can stream and play games they own on the GOG platform through Luna, including titles from the āWitcherā series and āCyber āā2077.ā However, not all games from GOGās complete library will be available on Luna initially, with more games expected to be added in the coming months.
In a unique feature, players can purchase games on Luna that are also available on the GOG platform, and the games will automatically appear in the playerās GOG library. This allows players to enjoy the benefits of GOGās āDRM-freeā policy, cloud archiving, and achievement unlocking features offered by the GOG Galaxy service, even if they purchased the game on Luna.
The collaboration between GOG and Luna has not yet been launched officially, but both companies have indicated that the feature will be available āsoon.ā However, this partnership is limited to the regions currently supported by Luna, which include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.
