LAMON. Grandfather Bepi Borata was a grinder who went around with the grinding wheel on his shoulder and the children in tow. The other grandfather, Teo, was a “cromer”, that is a street vendor who traveled from town to town, even abroad, with his box on his back.
His father was a stable boy at 13, after the military and the war he started working in a chocolate factory in Varese, Bulgheroni, inventing recipes that are still used today by the Swiss giant Lindt.
