Interpump, the quarter exceeds pre-Covid levels

Interpump Group sales return to pre-Covid levels in the first three months of the year. The group, active in piston pumps in the sector water and components for hydraulics, closed the quarter with revenues of € 375.6 million, up 9.2% on the corresponding period of the previous year, when they amounted to approximately € 344 million (while in the first part of 2019 they were 343.6). The EBITDA rises to 91.5 million with an incidence of 24.4% on sales (the previous year the margin was 21.6%, for 74.3 million), while the net profit is 53, 8 million euros, with a growth of 61.5% compared to the same period of 2020.

The results are higher than the market consensus which predicted an EBITDA of 85 million and 47 million in net profit. There liquid assets net income generated by income management was 84.9 million euros (66.5 million euros in the first quarter of 2020). Free cash flow for the first quarter of 2021 was € 40.8 million (€ 39 million in the first quarter of 2020). The net financial position was 229.8 million euros compared to 269.5 million euros at the end of 2020. In the quarter, the acquisitions was equal to 5.3 million euros. At 31 March the Group also had commitments for the acquisition of equity investments in subsidiaries valued at a total of 62 million euros.
