Alfa Romeo Giulia presented for the Carabinieri

by admin

The Giulia Radiomobile 2.0 turbo 200 HP with 8-speed automatic gearbox in institutional blue livery was delivered today in Turin at the Centro Stile, home of the new Alfa Romeo headquarters, intended for use by Tenenze and Carabinieri stations for territorial control: it is the first of a fleet of 1,770 units. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Stellantis NV Group, John Elkann, the Commander General of the Carabinieri, Teo Luzi, the CEO of the Alfa Romeo Brand, Jean-Philippe Imparato, the Italy Country Manager of Stellantis, Santo Ficili, the Commander of the Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta Carabinieri Region, Aldo Iacobelli and the Provincial Carabinieri Commander of Turin, Francesco Rizzo. These new Alfa Romeo Giulia reinforce the historic partnership between Alfa Romeo and the Carabinieri, born after World War II when all the “Gazelles” had the Biscione logo. The first Alfa Romeo of the Arma was the 1900 M “Matta” in 1951. A year later, the Gazelle was born with the 1900 sedan. In the language of the weapon, the Gazelle represents the concept of prompt intervention: fast, agile and resistant. Its direct descendant was the Giulia of the sixties, it proposed avant-garde concepts managing to combine excellent engine performance with high reliability qualities. The car was well integrated into the structural renewal of the weapon, completed by the brand new radiotelephone sets connected to the Operations Centers, which were the flagship of the weapon. The vehicle was used from 1963 to 1968. Since then the close link between the Arma and Alfa Romeo has continued over the years with increasingly aggressive and reliable cars: from the Alfa Romeo Alfetta to the Alfa Romeo 90, from the Alfa Romeo 75 to Alfa Romeo 155, from Alfa Romeo 156 to Alfa Romeo 159, up to the exceptional Giulia Quadrifoglio, a symbol of excellent technological know-how and the best creative spirit of our country.
