The first monoclonal antibody for the prevention of Covid-19 in adults is also being approved in Italy. After the review of the results of clinical studies by the European Medicines Agency, approval by Aifa is also expected shortly. This is the antibody combination tixagevimab / cilgavimab from Astrazeneca (trade name Evusheld), already available for emergency use in the United States and some European countries such as Spain, France and Slovenia.
