Usa, Twitter permanently closes Trump’s account

by admin

WASHINGTON (USA) (ITALPRESS) – Twitter has permanently suspended Donald Trump’s account. The same social media announced it, explaining that “after a careful review of the recent tweets of @realDonaldTrump and the context that concerns them, we have permanently suspended the account given the risks of further instigation to violence”. “In the context of the terrible events of this week – the note reads – it became clear to us how further violations of Twitter rules could potentially weigh in this race for action”. The reference is obviously to the dramatic assault on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. Twitter cites the last two messages in which the outgoing US president announced yesterday that he would not take part in Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony and then claimed that the “giant voice of his supporters’ patriots would not be betrayed in any way”. Trump, suspended in recent days also by Facebook and Instagram, then used the @Potus account (President of the United States) to emphasize that “as I have been saying for some time, Twitter has suspended freedom of speech and tonight, with the coordination of the Democrats and the Radical Left, he removed my account from his platform, to silence you and me, the 75 million great patriots who voted for me. ” He then announced, before Twitter also removed these posts, that “we are in talks with various other sites, and there will soon be an announcement, to build our own platform shortly.” (ITALPRESS). fsc / red 09-Jan-21 08:32
