A Dadda in the Pavia “derby” after a balanced final Cassiani yields to the tie break

Davide Dadda of Selva Alta Vigevano and Jennifer Scurtu of Tc Milano Bonacosssa are the winners of the men’s and women’s limited 2.4 Open tournament which ended yesterday on the Energy Tennis courts of Gambolò, after two weeks of meetings under the orders of referee Francesco Barini.

First title awarded late yesterday morning in the women’s singles, which saw the participation of 39 players, with the affirmation of Jennifer Scurtu (2.7 of the Tennis Club Milano Bonacossa) on Beatrice Bindolini (2.8 of the Sporting Club Milano). The final winner after having closed the first set at 6-1 was given the green light for the retirement of the opponent due to injury at 1-0 in the second game. In the semifinals Bindolini, with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 10-5, had defeated the number one seeded Sarah Toscano (2.7 from Selva Alta Vigevano). Scurtu, on the other hand, got rid of with the partial 6-3, 6-2 of Elisa Armorini (2.8) of the coach Decimmomannu.

In the late afternoon, however, the men’s tournament ended, with 97 players at the start: success of Davide Dadda (2.5 Selva Alta Vigevano) over Alessandro Cassiani (2.6 Motonautica Pavia) in a very balanced match concluded in favor of Dadda with a double 7- 6 after two tie-breaks. In the semifinals, Dadda from Garlasco had defeated Federico Ferraris (2.8 from Mondetti Sport & Wellness Vigevano) for 7-6, 6-4 and with the same score Cassiani won over Andrea Rodolfo Masera (2.8 from Selva Alta Vigevano). –
