Pedri lifts Barcelona to second in the standings

Even though Levante is getting closer to relegation, everyone at the club believes they have a chance to survive. Now, thanks to their 2-0 win over Villarreal on Saturday, Levante have moved out of the bottom of the table and are just six points away from relegation.
Fernando out of season due to injury
Sevilla FC have received bad news as their holding midfielder Fernando Reges needs surgery on an ankle injury. Although the surgery was a success, he was basically out for the season. Fans will miss him dearly, considering his role in Julen Lopetegui’s team.
Negredo renews contract with Cadiz
Álvaro Negredo will remain in Cadiz. The striker has decided to renew his contract with the Andalusian club for a season, meaning he will be with the club for the 2022/23 season at the age of 37. If Cadiz can avoid relegation, it will be Negredo’s 11th season in La Liga.
Victor Dias signs new contract with Fernandez
Negredo wasn’t the only player who signed a contract extension last week. Granada’s Víctor Díaz and Elche’s Josan Ferrández have also signed new contracts to stay at their current club until the end of next season.
