A ‘portal’ photographed by the Curiosity rover on Mars has awakened the fantasy of alien life. The opening, immortalized on May 7, 2022, as the vehicle ascended Mount Sharp seems to have been carved out of rock. Experts immediately held back the imagination: no “Martian architect” built that opening.
