MILANO – Elon Musk will speak directly to employees of Twitterin a question and answer session that will confront the volcanic South African entrepreneur and the social network workforce for the first time since April, when the Tesla boss put on the table a $ 44 billion offer to conquer the short message company.
To reveal the face to face is an email from the CEO Parag Agrawal to the staff, found by Business Insider. The meeting is expected to take place on Thursday and Musk will receive questions directly from the workers. An important junction, therefore, considering that last week Twitter said that in early August it will call a shareholder vote on the sale to Musk.
Layoffs, crashes, scams: the dark side of tech tycoons

Musk’s descent into the field for the social network did not see red carpets rolled out within the company. Since it made its multi-billion dollar stake, many employees have spoken with worry about his sometimes erratic attitudes, with the fear that they could destabilize society and even penalize it from a financial point of view.
Ever since Musk’s offer was made known in April, Agrawal himself – recalls Reuters – he had to roll up his sleeves to put down the internal revolt and the anger of a worker who asked management for clarification of how they would manage the massive exit plans that at the time were anticipated in Musk’s intentions.
Since then, the operation has not yet closed and indeed has experienced many ups and downs: most recently, in recent weeks, on the fact that the social network has not yet given clear estimates on the number of fake users present on the platform (they should be less than 5%). Without these certainties, Musk threatened, the offer could be withdrawn. The company has guaranteed transparency, some think it is a way to pull on the price.
