At nearly 35, the striker of the Sampdoria he obtained his high school diploma in Bari, undergoing the same day at the Alessandro Volta equivalent technical institute to the last test: the oral one. “I answered all the questions. Dealing with the commission was more difficult than when I find myself in front of a goalkeeper: that is my environment”, said the native of Altamura once he left the classroom, which is now officially an accountant. But the course of study is not yet completed. “I want to enroll at university, specializing in economics and commerce. But there is still time”.
Double digit mister
Meanwhile, the former Empoli is preparing to start the second season in a row in Liguria wearing the Sampdoria shirt. In the past year, the striker with a past also in the national team scored 11 goals, finishing for the fourth consecutive time in double figures in the league. In 2018-19 he had succeeded with Empoli, scoring 16 goals, then 21 and 11 with Sassuolo in the next two tournaments. The goal is to reach at least 10 in the next Serie A.
