UDINE. In Friuli Venezia Giulia in the week from 29 June to 5 July, compared to the previous 7 days, there was a worsening performance for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (1,441 against 1,063) and there was an increase of 27.1% in new cases. Furthermore, beds in the medical area (12.9% against 12.5%) and in intensive care (4% against 3.5%) occupied by Covid 19 patients are above the national average.

This is what emerges from the monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation on the progress of the pandemic in the region. According to the report, 7.1% of people over 5 years old in Fvg who have not received any vaccine dose, in line with the national average. To these is added another 6.5% temporarily protected, as they recovered from Covid 19 for less than 180 days.

12.9% of the population did not receive the third dose, while another 3.1% recovered for less than 120 days and cannot receive it immediately. The coverage rate with fourth dose is 20.6% (Italy average 44.2%) for immunocompromised people and 19.3% (Italy average 21.1%) for over 80, Rsa and frail guests in the d age 60-79 years. Among children 5-11 years old, 24.7% completed the vaccination cycle (Italy average 34.9%), while another 2.1% (Italy average 3.3%) received the first dose.

As regards the incidence of new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, the monitoring notes, the province of Pordenone records the highest value with 940, an increase of 23.3% compared to the previous week. Followed by Udine with 874 (+ 20.1%), Trieste with 837 (+ 52.2%) and Gorizia with 777 (+ 27.4%).
