Whose signatures are on the documents? According to what we learn, the Turin prosecutor’s office intends to request a new expert opinion on the signatures attributable to Marella Caracciolo placed on some documents seized, together with devices and computers, during the search carried out as part of the investigation into an alleged tax fraud, in relation to the inheritance of the woman, wife of the lawyer and mother of Margherita Agnelli
The prosecutors’ suspicions
During the searches, the magistrates acquired the originals of these documents and therefore now intend to repeat the checks already carried out on the copies. The analyzes already carried out, as we learned in recent days, according to the magistrates would have revealed that the signatures in question were of a «reasonably apocryphal nature» on «some important documents», such as «the testamentary additions» and also on « rental contracts for Italian properties”.
The investigation
All this is part of the aftermath of the complicated battle over the inheritance of the lawyer Gianni Agnelli brought by Margherita Agnelli against her children John, Lapo and Ginevra Elkann.
A focus on the trust companies of the group controlled by the Agnelli family was activated by the Turin prosecutor’s office, with the Guardia di Finanza acquiring documentation in a notary’s office. According to what has been learned, the file was opened after a complaint presented by Margherita Agnelli, daughter of Gianni Agnelli. There would be three people registered in the register of suspects. According to what Ansa has learned from informed sources, they are Gianluca Ferrero, accountant from Turin, Robert Von Groueningen, administrator of Marella Agnelli’s inheritance on behalf of the Swiss judicial authority, and John Elkann, son of Margherita Agnelli, presenter of exposed which triggered the investigations of the subalpine magistrates.
The lawyers’ response
Meanwhile, the lawyers of John Elkann and Gianluca Ferrero, involved in the Turin judiciary’s investigation into Marella Agnelli’s inheritance, have submitted a request to the review court regarding the search decree issued by the Turin prosecutor’s office. The provision concerns both the documentation and the seized computer systems.
