The vice president of Icam (chocolate) Plinio Agostoni is the new President of Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio. He was elected by the shareholders’ meeting for the 2022-2025 mandate.
In addition to the President, the Vice President Emilio Mottolini (Salumificio Mottolini Srl of Poggiridenti) and the Directors Antonio Bartesaghi (Omet Srl of Lecco), Roberto Crippa (Technoprobe SpA of Cernusco Lombardone), Flaminia Frigerio (Frigerio) were elected for the 2022-2024 mandate. Ettore SpA of Lecco), Paolo Mainetti (Valtecne Srl of Berbenno di Valtellina), Mario Moro (Penz Srl of Gordona), Marta Rota (Varo Srl of Valmadrera) and Aristide Stucchi (AAG Stucchi Srl of Olginate).

After thanking the outgoing President Lorenzo Riva for the work carried out throughout his mandate, Plinio Agostoni has drawn a brief overview of the current scenario.

«Two years of pandemic – highlighted the newly elected President in his first speech in this capacity – have strongly depressed the economy, in a more distorting way, almost eliminating the turnover of some sectors and even rewarding others, albeit very few. Now we are dealing with the explosion of energy costs and of many raw materials for which there are also serious supply problems, with the consequent risk of inability to fulfill orders. The war in Ukraine, although not directly or totally responsible for this situation, certainly amplifies the critical issues and above all casts a shadow of uncertainty about the future ”.

A very complex context where Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio is called to be more and more “the home of entrepreneurs”, that is, a place for sharing and comparison, in order to identify new solutions. In this period in particular, highlighted Plinio Agostoni, a problem that has already existed for some time comes up again with greater gravity and also in new forms: the difficulty in identifying collaborators. For several reasons.

«There is a lack of people with skills suitable for increasingly advanced technologies. There is a lack of technicians. There is also a lack of collaborators with not particularly high skills and competences. And there is the novelty of a job market that is no longer job driven but candidate driven, that is, it is the needs of candidates that dictate the terms of the bargaining and this is an issue that is becoming central and that is connected, not in via exclusive, to the theme of schools and training. On this issue – he continued – much has been done by Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio and much more will have to be done ».
