The Qatari food company Baladna has signed an agreement with the Algerian government to build a farm in Algeria, intended for the production of milk powder. The farm, which will span 100,000 hectares, aims to produce 200,000 tonnes of milk powder per year.

According to specialized media reports, the agreement represents significant progress for Algeria, reducing dependence on imports and promoting internal economic growth.

Announcing the signing of the agreement, Algerian President Tebboune revealed that the farm will be located in Adrar, south-west Algeria.
