ROMA – The European publishing industry, from books to newspapers, is on its knees for the lack of paper. In a few months in France, only one factory could remain in operation for the production of the indispensable raw material, reports the agency Afp, explaining that, according to Apig, the association that brings together 285 national and local newspapers, the price of paper in a year has gone from 400 euros per ton, in the first half of 2021, to over 800 euros in April.
