Aqueducts and Sewers Authority Announces Launch of New Web Portal and Mobile Application

The executive president of the Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (AAA), Doriel I. Pagán Crespo, has announced the upcoming launch of the new portal www.acueductos.pr.gov and the Mi Acueductos mobile application. These platforms are set to be active starting next January 24th. The official has assured that these platforms will provide a safer and more accessible service, as well as guarantee access to information for people with disabilities.

According to Pagán Crespo, the priority has always been to provide safe service to all customers, and these digital platforms reinforce that commitment. The platforms are developed with the guidelines of the Office of Innovation and Technology Services (PRITS) and the Accessibility Law 229.

The vice president of Strategic Planning, Arnaldo Jiménez Acevedo, added that cybersecurity has been a major focus following a computer security incident. The Information Systems personnel have worked together with GM Security and obtained the company’s standard certification of Data Security for the Payment Card Industry (PCI DSS), ensuring the protection of payment card data.

The new web portal includes a variety of services and features, including payment portals, news and press releases, and an interactive map. The payment portal is also harmonized with privacy, security, and information availability policies to guarantee access for people with disabilities. Additionally, the platforms will have the capacity to handle more users and provide superior cybersecurity. Customers will be able to perform various tasks such as editing the name on the account, changing postal address, reporting breakdowns, obtaining water quality reports, making payment claims, and attaching documents.

The launch of these new platforms is set to bring significant improvements to the services provided by the AAA.
