The Property, Theft, Assaults and Missing Persons Division of the CIC of San Juan is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault at a Subway fast food restaurant in Hato Rey. The incident occurred on the night of January 10, 2024, when the thief entered the restaurant and announced an armed robbery, with his hand in a waist bag. The employee complied and placed an undetermined amount of money into a white and red bag the suspect had placed on the counter. Another man was waiting for him outside.
The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, standing approximately 5’5″ tall, and wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and blue and white pants, with a black waist bag. Citizens with any information are urged to contact the Property, Theft, Assaults and Missing Persons Division at (787) 793-1234 extension 2200 or the Police Bureau line at (787) 343-2020. Anonymity will be maintained for those who come forward with information.
In addition, it was also reported that two off-road vehicles were stolen in Adjuntas, adding to the growing concerns about crime in the region.
