Compact in size and, above all, rechargeable on plug. We tried the Audi Q3 Tfsi-e S Tronic, the first compact SUV in the Quattro Rings range equipped with plug-in hybrid technology, that is, the rechargeable plug-in technology that allows you to travel about fifty kilometers in electric mode.
The rechargeable version of the Audi Q3 is aesthetically identical to the one with the heat engine, if only for the presence of the charging flap in the area in front of the driver’s door. The dimensions of the German SUV are generous and well thought-out: 4,500 mm long, 2,022 mm wide and 1,567 mm high, it has a wheelbase of 2,680 mm and a 380-liter boot capacity that reaches 1,250 liters by lowering the rear seats. The color range features particular nuances, such as turbo blue, or bright blue. While the presence on the road is emphasized by alloy wheels from 17 to 20 inches.
The interior is comfortable and ergonomic. On the version we tested, the S Line, the dashboard is 10.1-inch digital and the driver can count on a 10.25-inch touch screen that is easy and intuitive to use and from which the navigation and infotainment system is accessed. . The upholstery with Alcantara and imitation leather upholstery is also taken care of.
The 150 hp 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol powertrain is combined with a permanent magnet synchronous type electric motor (located in the six-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox) powered by a 13 kWh lithium-ion battery positioned in front the rear axle and guarantees a range of about 50 km (Wltp cycle).
With a system power of 245 hp and a torque of 400 Nm, it records a 0-100 km / h of just 7.3 seconds. Consumption measured is 16.6 km / l.
