For representatives of the West African Gas Pipeline Company (Wapco), the company’s main concern currently is to secure the pipeline that crosses four countries: Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana. This was reported by the information site 24haubenin, reporting the statements to the press by the general director of Corporate Affairs, Isasc Doku.

“Demand from Benin continues to grow every year,” Doku said, specifying that the company aims to transport a greater volume of gas and drastically reduce production costs.

The company also says it has offered 130 training courses in various professions and health consultancy for local populations affected by the gas pipeline.
