BMW’s Neue Klasse family continues to grow. After the sedan presented last year, now it’s the turn of the Vision Neue Klasse X, which translates into the future electric SUV produced by the Munich brand. For now it is just a concept but it clearly shows what we should expect from the model arriving in 2025, starting from the characteristic now illuminated double front kidney grille which pays homage to the BMWs produced between the 60s and 70s of the last century.

As seen on the sedan, the Vision Neue Klasse The double kidney grille returns but does so in a contained form, the lines are decisive but clean and the front and rear luminous signatures underline its character. At the rear come two separate light clusters, unlike what we saw with three volumes. The concept debuts details such as the BMW logo engraved on the bodywork with a special manufacturing technique, with a “reflective print” effect.

Goodbye to big screens to make room for 360 degree minimalism. The interior of the BMW Vision Neue Klasse As mentioned, no full-width screen but only a large central touch display, to which is added the “Panoramic Vision” (i.e. a full-width projection at the base of the windscreen) and the inevitable three-dimensional Head Up Display. Maxi dimensions for the panoramic roof, capable of providing almost cabrio-like brightness when on board. Naturally, the standard car will be hyper-connected, with a greater connection between user and car than what happens today. The buttons on board have practically disappeared, with the exception of those on the new steering wheel and on the tunnel.
If the seats of the concept seem more like a stylistic study than close to series production, this is not the case for the personalized sound experience called Hypersonx Wheel by BMW, where passengers will be able to choose their favorite sound.

BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, autonomy up to 700 kilometers
In the Vision Neue Klasse X, overall efficiency reaches a new level thanks to the sixth generation of BMW Drive technology. In addition to the improved electric drive units, it also features new lithium-ion battery cells, now round, with a volumetric energy density that is more than 20 percent higher than that of the previously used prismatic cells. Thanks also to the 800 volt system, charging times will be reduced by 30% with just 10 minutes to collect 300 kilometers and an expected autonomy of between 650 and 700 km. Speaking of aerodynamics, according to the Munich technicians, the Vision X will have a drag reduced by 20% compared to a current model in the range. Produced in the series version from 2025 in the Hungarian Debrecen plant, the first BMW group production site in the world to run entirely on fossil-free energy, the Vision .
