by admin

Last session of 2021 for Piazza Affari in the sign of uncertainty, in a climate of subtle exchanges on the way to the new break for the end of year holidays. From the very first trades, the Ftse Mib index moved just above par and then closed with + 0.01% at 27,346.83 points. On the markets, investors have begun to look with less apprehension at the Omicron variant whose diffusion, although high, should not lead to high restrictions by governments.

Looking at the individual stocks on the Milanese list, the best of the day was DiaSorin which reached the top of the main basket with + 1.18%, supported by the context of the health emergency. Increases of about 0.7% for Ferrari and Inwit.

Cnh Industrial fell (-0.6%) which however remained above the threshold of 17 euros, waiting for the spin-off of Iveco which will be effective from next January 1st. For the latter, the first trading day should be January 3, 2022.

The worst in the main list was Moncler with a drop of 0.87%, closely followed by Atantia and Tenaris, both down by 0.8%.

Looking at the performance of the entire year, Piazza Affari can be considered satisfied because it has archived a 2021 with a decidedly positive and respectable performance also towards the other European lists. The Ftse Mib index recorded a gain for 2021 of 23%, outperforming the Dax in Frankfurt and the UK’s Ftse 100 index which were up about 15%. Better performance instead for the Cac40 in Paris which increased by 28%.

It should be remembered that the markets in Italy, Japan and Germany will remain closed tomorrow. An early closure is planned in Hong Kong, France and the UK.
