The close collaboration between Bosch and Maserati continues and, once again, they have collaborated to create a safe, technological and comfortable model. The result is Grecale, the new hybrid SUV of the Trident.
Safety and comfort on board
To facilitate maneuvers and ensure safe and comfortable parking, the new Maserati Grecale is equipped with the Park Pilot system (equipped with a control unit and 10 ultrasonic sensors) in the entry level version and with the Multi Camera System (Surround View 2D) in the high-end versions, both signed by Bosch. The latter system consists of a control unit, 4 short range cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors, all supplied by Bosch. Specifically, the cameras offer the driver a 360 ° overview during driving maneuvers, while the sensors calculate the distances to obstacles and monitor the space during parking and maneuvering. Furthermore, the ultrasonic sensors with which both systems are equipped allow Maserati Grecale to perform emergency braking in reverse during parking, thanks to the Bosch Mitigation emergency braking system.
In the event that an obstacle that could hit the bumper is detected and the driver does not react in time, this system makes it possible to limit or avoid any damage to the vehicle through automatic emergency braking.
New digital and customizable instrument panel
Also contributing to driver safety is the new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster which ensures that information is always presented in a clear and personalized way. The high-resolution graphic display with a slim design, in fact, presents information based on the specific driving situation and the needs of the driver who can access the desired functions through a customized user interface. You can choose, for example, between detailed information on the current journey, the navigation map, telephone contacts or details of the playlist being played. Every single piece of information can be viewed in full screen or in combination with other content.
Bosch components for the powertrain
The new Maserati Grecale is available in the 2.0-liter turbo petrol and 3.0-liter turbo petrol versions, for which Bosch supplies the electronic engine control unit Ecu which ensures high performance for the 4-cylinder in-line and V6 engines that can be fitted to the car. The control unit, in fact, is able to manage the engine guaranteeing performance and limiting consumption and emissions.
