Banca Carige and Amco completed the transfer of a new portfolio of impaired loans deriving from leasing contracts. The sale concerns a portfolio with an overall gross value (Gross Book Value – GBV) of approximately € 17.7 million and is made up of non-performing loans and UTPs deriving from leasing contracts with no underlying or real estate or instrumental underlying.
Amco, according to the press release, had already carried out a sale transaction with Banca Carige on March 20 for the purchase of approximately 70 million of bad loans and UTPs. The transaction represents for Amco the third acquisition of leasing credits completed in 2021. In managing the portfolio, Amco will leverage the skills and professionalism of the Real Estate Department, which coordinates the activities with the objective of enhancing the assets underlying the leasing contracts .
The sale represents for Banca Carige a further development of the derisking process compared to what has already been achieved in previous years and contributes to the improvement of the quality of assets, reflected in risk indicators aligned with the best system levels: gross NPE ratio 5% and net 2 , 6% (data as of 30 September 2021).
