Cerba: Lifeanalytics buys the Abich analysis laboratories in Verbania

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus) – Lifeanalytics srl, a company of the outpatient diagnostics group Cerba HealthCare, is strengthened in the analysis laboratories by acquiring 100% of Abich srl, a group based in Verbania active in biological and chemical analyzes. In particular, Abich provides research and analysis services to producers of cosmetics, medical devices, OTC, raw materials and other consumer products.

To sell were the two founders: the CEO Stefano Todeschi and the president and scientific director Elena Bocchietto. Abich, founded in 2002, developed in 2008 with the clinical division in Vimodrone, dedicated to tolerability and efficacy tests on healthy volunteers for cosmetics intended for contact with skin, skin appendages and external mucous membranes, while in 2014 it opened in Montreal, in Canada, an FDA recognized laboratory.

Company valued at 12 million

Abich was valued at 12 million euros in terms of equity value with an EBITDA multiple of 8. In the transaction, the sellers were assisted by Sri Group, as financial advisor, with a team led by managing partner Alessandro Lamura and by Alberto Beer for the legal aspects and by Studio Finocchio-Deriu-Colombara for the accounting and tax aspects. On the other hand, Kon for financial due diligence, Dentons for the legal aspects of the operation, with a team coordinated by partner Luca Pocobelli and also composed of counsel Claudio Segna, Deloitte for tax aspects and PWC for compliance, assisted Lifeanalytics. .
