After closing February below $4,000, as the market expected, the price of the dollar in Colombia began March without many changes.
According to the Stock Exchange, the US currency is trading this Friday, March 1, at an average price of $3,935, which is an increase of 4 pesos compared to the Representative Market Rate of $3,931.
The minimum price of the currency was $3,916, and the maximum was $3,950.
During the negotiations, the dollar rebounded after starting the day with a drop of 12 pesos.
On the previous day, at the close of February in other markets, the price of Texas oil fell to $78.26 per barrel, gold rose to $2,052 per ounce at the close of the New York Stock Exchange, and the dollar gained ground against the euro with a change of 1.0808.
The fall in the foreign currency comes in the midst of the season for delivering company financial reports and after Ecopetrol’s 2023 management balance.
