ROMA – Squeezed between Covid-19 and inflation, Italians are reviewing their spending habits for the umpteenth time, trying to hold on to the quality of food (despite a forecast of a 3.5% price increase for 2022) but cutting on everything else, clothes, restaurants, travel, cinemas and concerts. Those who cannot sacrifice even the quality of their food, but the vast majority of Italians try, as best they can, to maintain their lifestyle despite uncertainties and worries.
