Edison wins arbitration against Qatargas

Good Financial News Revised for Edison. The ICC-International Chamber of Commerce has communicated to the parties the decision relating to the arbitration proceeding initiated in 2019 by Qatargas against Edison to obtain the increase in the price of the contract.

The arbitration panel, fully accepting Edison’s defense arguments, decided to totally reject Qatargas’ requests to obtain a price increase (several hundred million euros in the period).

With the contract with Qatargas, Edison imports about 6.5 billion cubic meters of LNG per year from Qatar to Italy through the Rovigo regasification terminal.
