Joint initiatives in areas of strategic interest, with the creation of a more sustainable model for Sardinia at the center through the development of renewable energy. This is the content of the memorandum of understanding signed by the director of Enel Italy, Nicola Lanzetta, and by the CEO of SiderAlloys Italia, Giuseppe Mannina. The partnership between the two companies identifies different areas of collaboration with SiderAlloys of Portovesme, united by the objective of contributing to the energy transition through an increasingly sustainable production model for the whole territory.
In particular, the agreement provides for the development of electricity generation from renewable sources (wind power, utility scale photovoltaic systems on the ground, on roofs and roofs in general, and storage systems), which will contribute to the energy needs of the Sardinian territory and industrial sites; the possibility of developing further initiatives in the field of distributed renewable generation; electrification of the company fleet with charging stations to be installed at company offices; the identification of flexible resources within the production sites; solutions aimed at optimizing energy costs such as reduction of power peaks and cost reductions through load variation.
