Cuban Telecommunications Company Announces Changes for Prepaid Mobile Telephone Customers
The Cuban Telecommunications Company (Etecsa) has announced a move this Wednesday to update the validity of the subscription life cycle for prepaid mobile telephone customers. According to the communication from the Havana branch of that entity, all prepaid mobile phone customers who recharge an amount equal to or greater than 100.00 CUP, through any of the established methods, will have the validity of the line extended.
Additionally, all purchases or gifts of combined plans and/or packages which customers receive for an amount greater than the mentioned figure will also qualify for the extended validity, the announcement states.
This announcement is the second that Etecsa has made to its users so far this week. Previously, the telecommunications company, the only one in the country, announced a new offer of a modem plus mobile data, which can be purchased through international distributors.
According to Etecsa, the package includes a modem with a mobile data connection to which multiple devices can be connected at the same time “to enjoy a better experience without a call interfering with the connection.”
The package began to be marketed on January 15 and will be available for purchase until January 30. The package includes a Modem, a Data SIM, and a 100GB Plan valid for 3 months.
Additionally, Etecsa also stated that customers can purchase additional plans that accumulate and extend the validity of the initial plan. However, the purchase cost was not included in the company’s publication.
