A group of experts from Ethiopian and Russian research institutes is organizing a consultation forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to strengthen cooperation in the Brics framework. The forum is attended by the director general of the Institute of Political Studies, Yeine Petros, the director general of the Institute of Foreign Affairs, Jafar Bedru, scholars from the research institutes of the two countries and professionals from various sectors, as reported by the Ena agency.
At the forum, the first articles on environmental protection and climate change, agriculture, science and technology, the pharmaceutical industry and other issues that can strengthen Brics cooperation will be discussed.
At the fifteenth meeting of Brics member states held in Johannesburg, South Africa, requests to join the bloc were accepted from Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia.
