Italy is third from last among the Eurozone countries for the growth recorded in the first quarter of 2022. It emerges from the latest estimates of Eurostat’s GDP. Between January and March, Italian GDP grew by 0.1%, the same performance as Estonia, compared to the previous quarter. Only France did worse, falling to negative ground at -0.2%, and the Netherlands, at 0%. In the last positions also Germany and Spain, with respectively + 0.2% and + 0.3%. The employment trend is also bad: compared to the previous quarter, the number of employees in Italy remained stable at 0%, together with Ireland.
